The test took place in Denmark, while the calculations and assessment were made in Germany. The test itself is carried out by driving a van with Finnerup’s car interior system incl. tools and equipment at 50 km/h into a wall. This results in the car stopping immediately, which corresponds to a force impact of 20G.
In connection with the collision, everything is measured and photographed, with a particular focus on the cargo hold. The violent release of energy results in a resistance force of 20G. The test, which was carried out without a partition (which Finnerup recommends in Tysk), showed that Finnerup’s racks moved 4mm on one side and 9mm on the other. No other injuries were caused. None of the materials stored in the racks were damaged. The conclusion of the test was unequivocally that the car device did NOT cause any damage to the driver or passengers.
